Chandigarh, July 30 – Haryana Police in Nuh district have rescued 11 cows and bulls and seized a truck in which they were being illegally transported to somewhere for slaughter.
Giving this information here today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that police had got a tip-off that some anti-social elements had brought cows in a truck bearing Rajasthan registration number to hilly area of Tappakan for slaughter. Upon getting information, a police team raided the location and intercepted the truck.
Police team had recovered six cows and five bulls from the truck. However, taking advantage of the hilly and bumpy road, the accused managed to escape from the spot. All fleeing accused have been identified by the informer. The police had shifted the cattle to a gaushala.
Police have registered a case in this connection and further investigation is underway. Efforts are on to nab the accused and all will be behind bars very soon, he added.
