Haryana BIS Branch Hosts Training Program to Sensitize Standards Club Mentors
The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Haryana Branch Office, successfully concluded a comprehensive residential training program spanning two days, aimed at equipping Mentors of Standard Clubs from schools across various districts of Haryana. The event took place on November 8 and 9, 2023 at the Northern Regional Office, BIS, Sector 27B, Madhya Marg, Chandigarh.
The program’s inauguration was graced by the presence of Sh. Rajeev P., Deputy Director General (North), BIS, who marked the commencement of the event. Sh. Saurabh Tiwari, Director of the Haryana Branch Office, played a pivotal role in acquainting the participants with the program’s key objectives.
Over 25 enthusiastic educators from various districts of Haryana joined an immersive training initiative focusing on BIS activities, the Quality Eco-system, and standards clubs in schools. They explored online resources such as the BIS website and e-BIS portal, empowering them to access information about Indian Standards and Certified Products.
The program aimed to instill a culture of standardization and quality awareness among students. Mentors delved into concepts of quality and standardization, actively engaging in interactive sessions and group activities. Their enthusiasm and positive feedback reflected their vibrant learning experience, fostering a lively atmosphere throughout the training.
