Guru Nanak Public school,Rajouri Garden,New Delhi celebrated Labour Day with gusto on 1 May 2019. The objective was to teach children about the importance and value of labour day and to thank the selfless service of the working class of the school, who work with full dedication and ensure the hygiene and security of school. A special assembly was conducted by the students of Leo the Crusader Club under the aegis of Guru Nanak Public School,Rajouri Garden .The chief guests were Mr.Gaurav Gupta, President of Rajasthani Academy , Treasurer of Indian Council for Human Relations , the Charter President of Lions Club , Delhi Veg. He is a qualified guiding Lion ,Mrs.Ruchika Dhingra Arora ,a successful entrepreneur, fashion show choreographer,Vice president of Delhi Anti Corruption Human Rights and prevention foundation.Mrs.Ekta Sibbal, Transformation Specialist , Offering Holistic Healing And Spritual Services.Dr.Vinod Verma,The president elect Lions Club,Delhi Veg and The Principal of the school Dr.S.S.Minhas presided over the function.
The program started with the Shabad recital “Tu hi meri mata,Tu mera pita” followed by the sapling presentation to the guests of honour. In order to pay tribute,The Principal and the guests felicitated all the workers of the school for commendable service. In his address, the Principal also acknowledged the contributions of the work force of the school and lauded their ceaseless efforts for the welfare of the students. The guests of honour acknowledged the hardwork and dedication of the Principal Dr.S.S. Minhas by awarding him with a badge of honour. The highlight of the event was the poem presentation by Hargun Kaur of 10th D, praising the labourers which moved everyone.
The chief guest Mr.Gaurav Gupta congratulated the most hospitable , benevolent and caring Principal ,approachable staff, dedicated working class and most beloved students for putting up such a wonderful show . The guest of honour Mrs.Ekta Sibbal was surprised to see the dedication and was designed to forge a better understanding of the labour community among our students who must learn to respect and appreciate their efforts. The school management also arranged a lavish lunch for the workers of the school. To conclude, this event was a great success which motivated the working class.
