Chandigarh.21 December,2020:Sh. Nityanand Rai, Hon’ble Minister of State for Home , Govt. of India reviewed the Flagship/Development schemes of Chandigarh at UT State Guest House. The meeting was attended by the Adviser to the Administrator besides the other senior officers of Chandigarh Administration. The Adviser to the Administrator highlighted the achievements of the best performing schemes of the Chandigarh Administration like One Nation One Ration Card, 100% DBT through abolition of FPS, Power Privatization, abolition of manual scavengers, Greenest Capital city , more than 100% sewer treatment capability, migrant labour facilitation during Lockdown and E-Beat System.
A brief presentation on the 47 schemes of various sectors like Education, Social Welfare, Agriculture, Housing & Urban Affairs, Health, Finance, Animal Husbandry, Food & Supplies, Power, Sports etc being implemented in Chandigarh was made . Hon’ble Minister appreciated the efforts of the Chandigarh Administration for the successful implementation of schemes. He emphasised that the basic thrust of implementation should be on eradication of poverty and to fulfill the basic needs of the people with the available resources to make them self-reliant.
