Chandigarh: GCCBA Sector 50 Chandigarh organized Teej Festival on 11th August 2018. The function included enthralling dance performances/songs/poems depicting the heritage and culture of Punjab. College also organized Mehendicompetition. Students and teachers enjoyed swings and few traditional games of Punjab were also played by the students to understand the importance of the day. A fashion show was organized wherein MsTeej was Chosen and was given a prize by the Dean of the College (Prof) Dr Rosy Walia Joshi. All the students of the college were traditionally dressed up. Dance party was also organized for the students at the end of the function. To make students aware about the rich heritage of Punjab a traditional set up was done to highlight the special features such as Pakhiyan, peenga, Phulkari etc. Teachers & students applied Mehendi on their hands. .Kheer&Malpuras were served to all. Dean Prof (Dr) Rosy Walia Joshi the Chief Guest for the day congratulated the students and Teachers for making the function a grand success.
