Election of Mayor, Senior Deputy Mayor, and Deputy Mayor of Chandigarh Municipal Corporation**
In accordance with the provisions outlined in Section 38 of the Punjab Municipal Corporation Act, 1976, as extended to the Union Territory of Chandigarh by the Punjab Municipal Corporation Law (Extension to Chandigarh) Act, 1994 (Act No. 45 of 1994), the Deputy Commissioner, U.T. Chandigarh, Mr. Vinay Pratap Singh, IAS, in his capacity as the Prescribed Authority, hereby announces the scheduled meeting for the election of Mayor, Senior Deputy Mayor, and Deputy Mayor.

*Agenda:*
The primary agenda for the meeting, as per the provisions of Section 38 & 60 of the Punjab Municipal Corporation Act, 1976, read with regulation 6 of the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation (Procedure and Conduct of Business) Regulations, 1996, applicable to the Union Territory of Chandigarh, is the Election of Mayor, Senior Deputy Mayor, and Deputy Mayor.
*Nomination Process:*
1. Notice is hereby given under Section 38 & 60 of the Municipal Corporation Act, 1976, as applicable to U.T. Chandigarh, calling upon the elected Councillors belonging to the Scheduled Caste category to file nominations for the position of Mayor.
2. Nomination forms (Form No. 1) can be obtained from the Secretary, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh. Duly signed nominations, along with proposer and seconder signatures, should be submitted between the hours of eleven O’clock in the forenoon and five O’clock in the afternoon up to 13.01.2024.

1. Notice is also given under Section 38 & 60 of the Municipal Corporation Act, 1976, as applicable to U.T. Chandigarh, calling upon elected Councillors to file nominations for the positions of Senior Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayor.
2. Nomination forms (Form No. 1) are obtainable from the Secretary, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh. Duly signed nominations, along with proposer and seconder signatures, should be submitted between the hours of eleven O’clock in the forenoon and five O’clock in the afternoon up to 13.01.2024.
