EHC arrest while taking bribe
Chandigarh, Oct 7 – Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has caught EHC Maan Singh posted at Police Post Alawalpur, in district Palwal red-handed while accepting illegal gratification of Rs.10,000.
Giving this information here today, a spokesman of the Bureau said that Maan Singh was nabbed in a raid while accepting bribe from Sh. Jogender, a resident of village Alawalpur in Palwal in lieu of producing the complainant’s son Lokesh Kumar in the Court directly without putting him in police custody and helping him in getting bail from the Court in case FIR No. 209/20 u/s 323, 506, IPC & 25,54,59 Arms Act Police Station, Chandhut.
The raid was conducted by State Vigilance Bureau, Faridabad in the presence of Duty Magistrate. A case under section 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against him. Further investigation of the case is in progress.
