Didar Singh assumes charge as Chairman of UT Khadi Gramodyog Board, pledges to connect youth with Khadi
Chandigarh — Didar Singh today formally assumed charge as the new Chairman of the UT Khadi Gramodyog Board at the Khadi Gramodyog Industrial Area Office. The ceremony witnessed the presence of senior office-bearers of BJP Chandigarh and officials associated with Khadi Gramodyog.
On this occasion, BJP Chandigarh President Jitender Pal Malhotra extended his best wishes to Chairman Didar Singh and the board members, stating that the Khadi Gramodyog Board will play a significant role in boosting self-reliance and generating employment opportunities across Chandigarh.
State General Secretary Ramvir Bhatti, Vice President Naresh Panchal, and Khadi Gramodyog Chandigarh Secretary Pavitar Singh were also present during the ceremony.
In his address, Chairman Didar Singh said that Khadi is a symbol of self-reliant India. His primary goal is to connect the youth of Chandigarh with Khadi Gramodyog and encourage them towards self-employment. To achieve this, the board will further simplify and expand loan facilities for the youth.
He also announced that efforts will be intensified to open more Khadi stores across Chandigarh, which will provide new opportunities for artisans and offer high-quality, indigenous products to the residents of the city.
Concluding his address, the Chairman said that the Khadi Gramodyog Board will ensure that Chandigarh emerges as a strong and leading centre in the field of Khadi.
