Chandigarh, Aug 21 – Director General of Police (DGP), Haryana, Sh. Manoj Yadava congratulated lady Sub-Inspector Anita Kundu for being selected for the ‘Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award 2019’ in the Land Adventure category.
Congratulating the police officer, the DGP said that our personnel have always brought laurels to the State police force by exhibiting their talent at various national and international sports events. He also conveyed best wishes to her for future endeavours.
It is worthwhile to mention that Mountaineer Anita Kundu has scaled Mount Everest from both Nepal and China side. In addition, she has also undertaken a number of successful expeditions across the globe.
The Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Awards are regarded as India’s highest national awards for adventure sports. The awards are conferred annually to recognize the achievements of the people in the field of adventure sports.
