Department of Telecommunications Holds Pension Adalat in Ludhiana, facilitates Life Certificate Verification for 45 Pensioners
Ludhiana/Chandigarh, March 26, 2025 : The Office of Controller of Communication Accounts (CCA), Punjab Telecom Circle, Chandigarh — the nodal office of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Government of India — organized a Pension Adalat and Life Certificate Camp in Ludhiana today, March 26, 2025.
During the camp, pensioners of the Department were provided assistance in submitting their life certificates, both online and offline. Around 115 pensioners attended the event, and 45 pensioners were facilitated in getting their life certificates updated. Pensioners were also given an overview of the Department’s pension portal “SAMPANN” (‘System for Accounting and Management of Pension’). They were also educated on the precautions to be taken in safeguarding themselves against cybercrime.
To facilitate better communication, the office has a dedicated Toll-Free Number 1800-180-2089 and WhatsApp number 94170-15033 for pensioners. An official has also been designated as “Pension Mitra” for their support.
The event was chaired by Joint Controller of Communication Accounts, Dr. Mandeep Singh who inaugurated the camp and informed attendees that the office has organized 24 such camps for pensioners in Punjab during the Financial Year 2024-25. As part of its welfare initiatives, the office also organized a Free Health Camp in collaboration with an empanelled hospital, for pensioners and family pensioners of DoT and BSNL.
Senior Accounts Officers Sh. A.K. Jain and Sh. Rajiv Kumar Ranjan informed the Chairperson that all grievances received had been addressed and resolved.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by PRO cum Pension Mitra Sh. Om Prakash, who expressed gratitude to all attendees and stakeholders for making the event a success.
