Department of Community Education and Disability Studies has Observed World Dyslexia Day
The Department of Community Education and Disability Studies has observed world dyslexia day in the department on 6th October, 2023 under the patronage of our honorable Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr) Renu Vig. The event was commenced by the Chairperson of the department Dr.Md. Saifur Rahman with welcome note. All the faculty members, research scholars and students of B.Ed. Special (Learning Disabilities) and M.A. (Community Edu. & Development) and non-teaching staff were present in the event. A play was conducted on the theme Dyslexia Awareness and Sensitization. The major objective of this play activity was to spread awareness and sensitize society towards disabilities especially Dyslexia. It also focused on that parents and other social group for accepting their child with dyslexia. This play was directed by Sourabh Jain and Rajat Kumar,Students of B Ed Spl. (LD), and participants were Sumit, Shivani, Amanpreetkaur, Jashandeepkaur, Alka, Sukhjinder, and Abhishek. All the participants got appreciation certificates. At the end, Mr. Nitin Raj (Coordinator)presented vote of thanks and appreciated the students and encouraged them to participate in future coming co-curricular activities.
