Date – 28th May – World Menstrual Hygiene Day
Sudha Society Foundation, Gurugram organized a Program for women and girls from BPL on this day .
Sudha’s President Ms. Ruchi Saxena said that it aims to teach women the importance of hygiene during menstruation. Millions of women living in villages and cities of Haryana are still unaware of many important facts related to it and they do not even know that their slight negligence can lead them to serious diseases like Hepatitis B, Cervical Cancer, Vaginal Infection etc. Awareness campaigns about these days need to increase. Take care of hygiene and use clean sanitized products is the key . Seek doctor’s advice immediately when necessary.
During the event sanitary pads were distributed to more than 150 women and girls in areas of Ghasola village , bhondsi village , basai enclave JJ cluster with the support of Sudha volunteers Deepti , pooja , garima ,dakshata , anita , babita , minash of the society participated.
