Chandigarh.23rd March,2021: The Department of Social Welfare organized a COVID-19 vaccination camp at Civil Hospital, Sector-22, Chandigarh, for the residents of Senior Citizen Home, Sector-15, Chandigarh. All the senior citizens residing therein are above 70 years of age and are provided with free accommodation, food, medical facilities, counselling and other basic amenities.
The COVID-19 vaccination camp was carried out under the guidance of Director Health Services, Chandigarh. A team of doctors were present at Civil Hospital, Sector-22, Chandigarh who examined the senior citizens and 30 senior citizens out of which 01 senior citizen aged 105 years were vaccinated with 1st COVID-19 dose.
All the 30 residents who have received vaccination are in good health with no adverse side effects so far. They will receive the 2nd dose of vaccine after 28 days.
