CONSUMER AWARENESS PROGRAM FOR MOBILE USERS
In view of making mobile users aware of their rights and Cyber related frauds a special session was organized at Sharda Sarvhitkari Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 40, Chandigarh. This session was organized by Citizens Awareness Group in association with Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
Sh. Surinder Verma Chairman, CAG while welcoming participants said that the objective of the session is to provide a platform to representatives of Telecom Service Providers to interact with Consumers to aware of the challenges in the mobile sector and other initiatives started by Government.
Ms. Mohinder Kaur Kataria, General Secretary while hosting the program highlighted on TRAI guidelines and said that this initiative will help all consumers to be more careful about their mobile devices.
Dr. Archana, Principal of the school appreciated the initiative taken by Citizen Awareness Group for spreading awareness regarding mobile problems among the school children. She expressed her full support and cooperation in the coming events also.
Telecom Services providers Aashish Kumar and Sanjiv Kumar from BSNL, Devraj Chauhan from Airtel, Sanjiv Vohra from Reliance Jio and Manish Kumar and Ravi Kumar from Vodafone Idea expressed their views regarding regulations of their companies and assure their wholehearted support in solving the consumer related problems.
The program was attended by 200 students alongwith their teachers. At the end Sh. Surinder Verma, Mohinder Kaur Kataria, Shekhar Nijhawan and Karuna Arora presented memento to Dr. Archana, Principal of the school.
