Commemoration of Constitution Day at U.T. Secretariat and D.C. Office, Chandigarh highlights Commitment to Democratic Values
Chandigarh, 26th November 2024: Today, the Constitution Day was celebrated in a befitting manner at UT Chandigarh Secretariat, Sector 9 and DC Office, Sector-17, Chandigarh with senior officials and employees of all departments in attendance.
On the occasion, at UT Chandigarh Secretariat, Sh. Ajay Chagti, Secretary Health, UT Chandigarh, lead in reading the Preamble of the Constitution of India along with the senior officials and to the employees/staff of the Administration and all avowed to uphold the constitutional values and principles.
At D.C. Office, Chandigarh, Ms. Khushpreet Kaur, SDM South, along with the families of freedom fighters, paid floral tribute to Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Ms. Khushpreet Kaur led in reading the Preamble of the Constitution of India along with members of Freedom Fighters Society and employees/staff of DC office, Estate office and RLA.
The Constitution Day (Samvidhaan Diwas) is celebrated every year on 26th November to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India as janbhagidari and to honour and acknowledge the contribution of the Founding Fathers of the Constitution.
