Chandigarh Polo Season 2026 announced, 12 teams across the country to participate

Chandigarh, Chandigarh is set to host the second edition of its official Polo Season following the successful organization of the city’s first polo season in 2024–2025. The upcoming season will be conducted under the aegis of the Indian Polo Association and the Chandigarh Polo Association, further strengthening the city’s growing reputation as an emerging hub for the sport.

The Chandigarh Polo Season 2026 will take place from 29 March to 4 April 2026 at the Chandigarh Polo Club. The season is organized annually to promote and celebrate the heritage and thrill of polo.

This year, the season is expected to witness participation from 12 teams from across India, including prominent teams such as the Indian Army Artillery Polo Team, Indian Navy Polo Team, Army Service Corps Polo Team, Remount and Veterinary Corps Polo Team, 61 Cavalry Polo Team, Rajasthan Polo Team, Jaipur Polo Team, Eden Polo Team, Golden Greens Polo Team, along with the host team Chandigarh Polo Team and other competing teams from across the country.

The entry to all matches will be free for the public, allowing residents and visitors to experience the excitement of polo up close.

To further promote the sport of polo in Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and across North India, the season will also feature a series of engaging social events alongside the matches. These include a Sufi Baithak Night on the inauguration day, 29 March, the Ladies Boots & Hats High Tea on 3 April, and the grand Gala Night on 4 April 2026.

The event will also be graced by several celebrity guests, distinguished dignitaries, and senior officials, making it a significant social and sporting gathering for the region.

Speaking about the upcoming season, Dilpreet Singh Sidhu, President of the Chandigarh Polo Club, said: “Arena Polo is a new format of polo and is far more spectator-friendly. It is an honour that our City Beautiful, Chandigarh, is hosting the Arena Polo Season 2026. We are happy to encourage young boys and girls to take forward the legacy of polo in North India.”
