Chandigarh. 21th September, 2020:
As per communication received from GOI, Sub National Pulse Polio (SNID) round conducted successfully on 20th and 21st September 2020 to maintain Polio free status. During SNIDs, high risk / vulnerable areas of UT, Chandigarh  were  covered.
Dr. G. Dewan, DH&FW cum MD (NHM) has appreciated efforts and dedication of Medical Officers, LHVs, ANMs, MPHWs, Malaria workers, Anganwadi workers and Police officials for participating in  Pulse Polio Campaign with great enthusiasm and with strict adherence to COVID-19 guidelines and protocols.  Pulse Polio Campaign carried out with support and cooperation from Police and Social Welfare Department.
Total 67826 no.  of  children were  immunized  during Pulse Polio SNID September round.
Stringent Monitoring & Supervision was done at various levels by the Senior Health Officials and WHO monitors. WHO Monitors also appreciated hard work and dedication of all Polio teams.
