AIHM CHANDIGARH CONCLUDES TWO DAY EVENT OF WORLD TOURISM DAY 2024

Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management, (an autonomous body under Ministry of tourism, GOI) Chandigarh, a leading institute providing hospitality education celebrated “World Tourism Day“, in the institute premises with immense passion and enthusiasm.
World Tourism Day gives an opportunity to celebrate the importance of tourism, its impact on economy, cultures and the role it plays in fostering sustainable development worldwide. It is an annual observance that is focused on promoting tourism in various parts of the world. In this regard, the institute organised two days event including many competitions, which were held on Inter school & Inter College level. Around 350 students from 15 schools and 12 colleges such as Caramel Convent School, St. Joseph’s Sr. Secondary School, GGMSSS sector-20B, Chandigarh Institute of Hotel Management (CIHM), Chandigarh, Dev Samaj College of Education, PGGCG Sector-11, Chitkara University and many more were part of the event.
To commemorate this occasion, the following competitions were held under different categories.

Following this, participants were treated to a chocolate sculpting session. Various techniques were showcased by Chef Bhanu Sharma, spectators found the techniques used by the chef really innovative and eye catching.

After the conclusion of various competitions, our faculty Chef Jawahar demonstrated a stunning cake decoration for all the participants. The students were captivated by the activity and expressed their admiration for his creativity.

Mrs. Shalini Sachdeva, HOD of the Institute delivered some words of wisdom and motivated students. “Passion and Perservance are the ultimate indicators of future success. He also added that all the participants participated for all the competitions with a great zeal and enthusiasm and he also congratulated all the winners”
All the participants were offered Tea and Refreshment after the competition. AIHM expresses gratitude towards Kitchen Club, Fnb Club & Organising Club for their immense efforts.
Mrs. Shalini Sachdeva, HOD of the institute concluded the event with a vote of thanks and expressed his gratitude to all the participants from different schools and colleges.
