A training and Orientation programme for the teams of Sector Officers and Sector Police Officers for General Elections 2024 was conducted under the Chairmanship of Mr. Vinay Pratap, Deputy Commissioner cum District Election Officer, Chandigarh at Multipurpose Hall of New U.T. Secretariat Building, Sector 9, Chandigarh on January 9, 2024.
Sector Officers were apprised of their roles and responsibilities during forthcoming General Elections, 2024. A detailed sessions on vulnerability mapping, EVM and VVPAT was conducted by State Level Master Trainers. Some Sector Officers had also shared their past experiences regarding smooth conduct of elections.
Mr. Vinay Pratap also explained the Sector Officers regarding their significance in the elections and expected role thereof.
Further training sessions are likely to be conducted in the coming days.
