A human chain formation on “Chandigarh will vote” and “Chandigarh say no to drugs” will be showcased by 1000 students of Education Department tomorrow at Rose Garden, Sector- 16 Chandigarh. The said event is organised to announce the beginning of special summary revision 2024 and the publication of the draft roll.
The Home Secretary-cum-Secretary, Social Welfare, Shri Nitin Kumar Yadav will be gracing the occasion with his esteemed presence along with the Finance Secretary-cum-Chief Electoral Officer, Dr Vijay Namdeorao Zade.It will be apprised that under this revision, citizens may register themselves as voters from 27th October, 2023, to December 9th, 2023, which is the date for filing claims and objections. Further, under this revision, special camps will be held at all 614 polling stations on 18th and 19th November, and 2nd and 3rd December, 2023 will be conducted at mass level. However, the audience will take a pledge on Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan as well as Chandigarh will vote tomorrow on 27th October 2023.
