A city based leading Academic and recipient of numerous awards Prof. Sudhir Hindwan Seminal Work on Human Nature in International Politics may provide a new theory of conflict resolution for regional conflicts across the globe.
It is a matter of great pride for city beautiful that a city based Prof.( Dr) Sudhir Hindwan , a Professor of Political Science and an Expert of Strategic Affairs has come out with his seminal work on Human Nature in International Politics: A theory of Conflict Resolution in Making. Prof.Hindwan’s work is inspired by Thomas Hobbes’s Leviathan, Hans J. Morgentheau’s “Politics among Nations” and Bertrand Russell ‘s “ Conquests of Happiness” wherein he says envy is the most potent reason of unhappiness. Prof Hindwan made attempt to relate this one with unabated conflicts in International Politics.He has been earlier bestowed with Leading Academic Achievers of Asia 2024 award for his relentless contribution in Research and Publications and numerous edit page lead articles on International Relations in leading National Dailies and renowned peer reviewed refereed journals. These awards have been given by Global Forum on International Relations. An Expert of International and Strategic Affairs Professor Hindwan has an outstanding track record in teaching and supervising Postgraduates and PhD research scholars ( JRF & SRF ) and completing many policy research oriented projects. A recipient of Rastriya Gaurav Award 2023 , Asian Admirable Achievers Award 2023 & Bharat Gaurav Award 2016 Dr. Hindwan has contributed enormously in the field of teaching, publications and research particularly in policy research. During the last two years he was fully engrossed in sensitization of students, faculty and people through his relentless working as overall convener of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AZKAM ) India@75. During Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav period he has organised more than 130 events and programmes for college in which numerous students participated. As a Nodal Officer for G-20 programmes throughout 2023 he organised more than 35 programmes and wrote more than 40 Edit Page Lead Articles on the issue for sensitization of students and people regarding the importance of G-20 and emerging role of India as world leader. As a prolific academic contributor he has over 200 publications of national and International repute to his credit .Also received a number of renowned fellowships, travel grants for academic presentation in London, Belfast, Londonderry , Denmark, Belgium, Conway Hall, Sydney, Japan, Istanbul Turkey and Thammasat University Bangkok Thailand. Served as a member of higher education academic selection committees, publications committees and convener -commissions – International and National Missions of great importance. Presently working as Professor and also reviewer of leading Journal. He has raised the reputation of his institution at international forum being the convener of Peace Theory and Peace History Commissions of International Peace Research Association, Belgium for over a decade ( since 2010) and which still continues wherein he has organised many international conferences and participated over the years. He is also working as External PhD Examiner of research scholars from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and completing many policy research oriented projects.His seminal work may provide ray of hope while we nabigate through the complexities of postmodernism. He says awards are just acknowledgement of your contribution and also an inspiration to continue pushing boundaries to reach still higher and achieve greatness. He further says that his relentless contribution will open up venues for incandescent discourse. He says although people see what they want to see but if you do good work without being bothered about appreciation you are definitely going to get your dues may be slightly late . This is the motivational factor students and new generation.
