Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas Observed at BJP Chandigarh Headquarters

A solemn event marking ‘Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas’ was organised today at the BJP Chandigarh Headquarters, Sector 33, to remember the tragic horrors of the Partition and pay homage to those who suffered during that time.
The programme commenced with an opening address by BJP Chandigarh State President Jatinder Malhotra, who warmly welcomed Om Prakash Dhankad, National Secretary of BJP and the chief guest for the occasion. In his remarks, Malhotra urged BJP karyakartas to take the message of unity into society, stressing that unity is a blessing, while division is its complete opposite.
Addressing a gathering of BJP karyakartas from all wards of Chandigarh, Om Prakash Dhankad reflected on the catastrophic events of the Partition that tore apart the social fabric and inflicted deep wounds on countless families. He shared poignant incidents that highlighted the human cost of division, reminding everyone of the value of brotherhood and harmony in society.
Dhankad further called upon the gathering to introspect on their individual roles in shaping a just, united, and strong society. He emphasised that the lessons from history must guide our present and future actions.
