Recognition of City Professor Prof. Sudhir Hindwan’s recent work on pertinent issues of International Politics by Global Forums :
It is a matter of great pride for city beautiful that a city based Prof.( Dr) Sudhir Hindwan , a Professor of Political Science and an Expert of Strategic Affairs has come out with a series of lead articles during 2023-24 which appeared in many renowned refereed journals and reputed national daily on very vital areas of international politics and foreign policy like INTEPOL is Key to better Policing, QUAD Summit: Prioritising Security in Asia Pacific , the AZKAM, the BRICS: Dealing with Emerging Challenges, the G20 Presidency : An Opportunity , the SCO ,the India-US 2 Plus two dialogue will pay dividends ,the issue of Migration ,combating international terrorism & Indo-Mauritius relationships, etc. His lead article on the BRICS titled “dealing with emerging challenges” has been acknowledged as a major seminal piece and found a prominent place on the global platform: BRICS countries official site. Prof. Hindwan ‘s recent work is mainly focused on analysing the changing paradigms of IR and analysing role of India as world leader. He says now world has undergone a major paradigm shift from Bipolar to Unipolar and recently from Unipolar to Multipolar world where there are a number of power centres emerging and India has almost emerged as champion in multiple areas .He makes it clear if the trend continues like this in future the day is not far when India will be the main centre of power , knowledge and diplomacy across the globe. Prof. Hindwan has been earlier bestowed with Leading Academic Achievers of Asia 2024 award for his relentless contribution in Research and Publications and numerous edit page lead articles on International Relations in leading National Dailies and renowned peer reviewed refereed journals. These awards have been given by Global Forum on International Relations. An Expert of International and Strategic Affairs Professor Hindwan has an outstanding track record in teaching and supervising Postgraduates and PhD research scholars ( JRF & SRF ) and completing many policy research oriented projects. A recipient of Rastriya Gaurav Award 2023 , Asian Admirable Achievers Award 2023 & Bharat Gaurav Award 2016. Prof. Hindwan has contributed enormously in the field of teaching, publications and research particularly in policy research. As a prolific academic contributor he has over 200 publications of national and International repute to his credit .Also received a number of renowned fellowships, travel grants for academic presentation in London, Belfast, Londonderry , Denmark, Belgium, Conway Hall, Sydney, Japan, Istanbul Turkey and Thammasat University Bangkok Thailand. Served as a member of higher education academic selection committees, publications committees and convener -commissions – International and National Missions of great importance. Presently working as Professor and also reviewer of leading Journal. He has raised the reputation of his institution at international forum being the convener of Peace Theory and Peace History Commissions of International Peace Research Association, Belgium for over a decade ( since 2010) and which still continues wherein he has organised many international conferences and participated over the years. He is also working as External PhD Examiner of research scholars from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and completing many policy research oriented projects.
