2 Minutes Silence Observed on MARTYRS’ DAY at UT Secretariat, Sector-9

Chandigarh, 30th January 2025: Today, the Chandigarh Administration observed two minutes Silence on Martyr’s Day, in the memory of those who sacrificed their lives during struggle for India’s freedom. The two minutes silence was observed from 11.00 A.M. to 11.02 A.M in front of UT Chandigarh Secretariat, Sector-9, Chandigarh where all the officers and staff had assembled. During the 2 minutes of silence, the Police Guard of Honor reversed arms to mark the two minutes of silence.
Present during the occasion were Sh. Rajeev Verma, Chief Secretary, UT Chandigarh, alongwith other senior officers and staff of Chandigarh Administration.
In UT Chandigarh, all workshops and factories were directed to stop working where practicable, and traffic on the roads was directed to come to a standstill for 2 minutes from 11.00 A.M. to 11.02 A.M.
