Rotary Sarai at PGI Celebrates Lohri with Traditions and Generosity
Rotary Sarai at PGIMER, Chandigarh, observed the vibrant Lohri festival with immense enthusiasm and warmth, bringing together hospital staff, faculty, and patients. The event was graced by Prof. Vipin Koushal, Medical Superintendent, PGIMER, who extended his heartfelt wishes for health, happiness, and prosperity to everyone present.
The celebration featured traditional singing and dancing around the bonfire, as patients and their attendants residing at Sarai participated in the merriments. On this occasion, blankets were distributed to those in need, courtesy of ARPAN, an initiative by Infosys, Chandigarh, as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The event was graced by Pyush Gupta ( Associate Vice President ) on behalf of ARPAN who said that Blanket distribution initiative highlight infosys commitment to giving back to the community, especially during colder months when such efforts make a real impact.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Vipin Koushal expressed his gratitude to Infosys for their support in enhancing the well-being of patients and their attendants. He stated, “I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Infosys for their contribution to ARPAN, which has made a significant difference in the lives of our patients. Their commitment to community welfare is truly commendable.”
The event concluded with the distribution of traditional Lohri sweets, leaving everyone with smiles and cherished memories.
