Blood Donation Camp to celebrate “National Youth Day”

Today Chandigarh NSS Cell  Education Department, Chandigarh Administration, in collaborate with Department of Transfusion Medicine, PGIMER, UT, Chandigarh  organized Blood Donation Camp to celebrate “National Youth Day”  as Government of India declared 12th January as the “National Youth Day” on the occasion of birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda Ji at Ground Floor, Additional Deluxe Building, UT Secretariat, Sector-9 D, Chandigarh.

This day is celebrated as “National Youth Day” in India every year since 1985. Swami Vivekananda Ji was Youth icon, source of energy and inspiration to all. National Youth Day brings the message of Universal brotherhood and peace in the world, his great teaching have mesmerized the whole world and motivated to the youth to serve the humanity.

Hon’ble Chef Guest Shri Rubinderjit Singh Brar, PCS, Director Higher Education, Chandigarh Administration inaugurated the camp, guest of honor Sh. Harshinder Pal Singh Bara, PCS, Director School Education,  Mrs. Neena Kaliya, NSS Programme Coordinator, +2 level Schools in UT Chandigarh, Sh. Rohitas Yadav, SHO Cyber Police station, Pramod Kumar from Yuvsatta  Media Persons, grace the occasion.

Around 300 NSS Volunteers from Colleges and University, Police Personnel’s and Secretariat donated the blood staff office staff and other parsons were participate and detonated the 90 Units of blood. 30 NSS Volunteers from GMSSS-8, CHD and GMSSS-15 CHD has perfume the volunteer duties.

Ms. Prerna Puri, Secretary Education Chandigarh Administration appreciated the efforts of Chandigarh NSS Cell for Noble case for the society. Chef Guest Shri Rubinderjit Singh Brar, congratulate to Dr. Nemi Chand, State Liaison Officer, NSS, UT Chandigarh and his team for organizing successfully state level blood donation Camp.
