As part of National Education Day, Dr. Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital today organized a lecture on “How to Be a Successful Researcher”. The lecture, organised in collaboration with the Society for Promotion of Science and Technology in India (SPSTI), offered invaluable insights to aspiring researchers.
The featured speaker, Dr. Jitendra Kumar Sahu, Professor of Pediatrics at PGI Chandigarh and recipient of the Rashtriya Vigyaan Puraskar 2024, provided an insightful lecture, sharing his journey and offering practical advice on overcoming challenges in research.
The program was inaugurated by Dr. Deepak Gupta, Principal of Dr. Harvansh Singh Judge Institute. Known for his dedication to advancing academic initiatives, Dr. Gupta emphasised the essential role of research in driving personal and professional growth in healthcare and science.
Dr. Arun K. Grover, former Vice-Chancellor of Panjab University and Vice President of the SPSTI, followed with remarks on the society’s mission to inspire young researchers to contribute to India’s scientific progress.
The Guest of Honor, Dr. Mukut Minz—Padma Shri awardee and former Head of the Department of Renal Transplant Surgery at PGI Chandigarh—shared his perspectives on the dedication and values essential for research excellence.
At the event’s conclusion, mementos were presented to each distinguished guest in appreciation of their contributions. The event underscored the institute’s commitment to fostering a culture of scientific inquiry and educational excellence.
