An investor awareness program was organised on 01-09-2023 in Management Education and Research Institute, Delhi. Sh. Surinder Verma, Chairman of Citizens Awareness Group, gave a detailed insight into creating wealth from stock markets through the latest technological advancements. He spoke about how mobile apps have become popular in trading and stressed the challenges of adopting technology and how to overcome them. He also brought to the fore the risks technology poses, like data thefts, glitches, etc., that cause losses, but the right use of technology can bring long-term gains.
Ms. Himani Lath, Senior Trainer in Securities gave the presentation on basics of capital market and stressed how financial literacy can help us achieve our future financial goals. She talked about several investment options available to us. She added that there are other options as well, including ETFs, ELSS and Gold ETF.
Mr. Lalit Aggarwal, Vice- president MERI group of institutions initiated and supported the workshop. India is home to the world’s largest youth population, and the increased financial literacy among the youth is very conducive to the financial well-being of the country.
The program was concluded by the vote of thanks by Dr. Gurpreet Kaur Chhabra, Associate Professor, MERI college.
