Sh. Banwarilal Purohit, Hon’ble Administrator, Chandigarh alongwith Sh. Dharam Pal, Adviser to the Administrator and other Senior Officers of the Administration and PGIMER visited both girls and School Attendant at PGIMER today, who were injured during an unfortunate incident at Carmel Convent School on 08th July, 2022 and assured them all possible assistance.
Further, the Administrator announced financial assistance of Rs.20 lacs to the family of a girl, who died in the incident, Rs. 10 lacs to the persons, who are seriously injured and Rs.1 lac each to the students, who suffered minor injuries.
Sh. Purohit along with the Adviser,, Home Secretary, DGP and SSP also visited the grieved family and expressed their condolences.
Also, the UT Administration decided to appoint Justice Jitender Chauhan (Retd) as one man Inquiry Committee to ascertain the facts of the case and fix responsibility including remedial action to be taken.
