Constitution Day

Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector 42, Chandigarh under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav @75, Ministry of Education celebrated the Constitution Day ( also known as National Law Day ) to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India . The students and faculty were informed about the history and importance of the day. A live streaming of the celebration of the Constitution Day from Parliament was shown wherein the Hon’ble President- Shri. Ram Nath Kovind ,Vice President Shri. Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister- Shri. Narendra Modi , Speaker Lok Sabha, Shri. Om Birla and Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Shri. Pralhad Joshi saluted the day and gave their valuable insights. Students were sensitized to work towards Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat and asked to take pledge to work for the development of Nation. The reading of the preamble by President was echoed by our worthy Principal, Prof. Nisha Aggarwal, faculty members and enthusiastic students.
The programme was followed by Slogan Writing Competition organized by Post Graduate Department of Political Science . Many students participated in the competition to showcase their talent by putting in innovative slogans to commemorate the National Constitution Day.
