Chandigarh : February 21 : PGIMER’s Permanent Selection Committee successfully concluded the interviews of the potential candidates for the recruitment of various faculty posts at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh.
On this occasion, Chairman of the Permanent Selection Committee, Prof. Ajay Kumar and Director of the Institute Prof. Jagat Ram commended the honorable members of the committee, officers and employees of various sections of administration like Recruitment Branch, Computer Branch, Welfare Branch, Reception Branch etc and honoured them by giving appreciation letters and lauded their contribution
While sharing the information in this context, Prof. Jagat Ram updated that a total of 994 applications were received for 81 posts advertised for faculty positions. Out of the total applicants, 918 candidates were called for the interviews. A total of 701 candidates who were present for the interviews, have been interviewed in three stages by the Selection Committee from December 2020 onwards.
Shri Kumar Gaurav Dhawan, Deputy Director (Administration), while thanking all the invited members, stated that it is due to their immense contribution, PGIMER’s selection process for various faculty positions has been concluded with complete impartiality, hassle-free and in a time bound manner. Highlighting the role of the human resource in maintaining and sustaining the credibility as a premier tertiary care institute, Shri Kumar Gaurav Dhawan emphasized that the employees of are the backbone of the Institute and hoped that they would continue with the good work to keep PGIMER go from strength to strength.
