Chandigarh.2 February,2021:Online Payment process for the dues of Chandigarh Housing Board has been simplified. Now the online payment can be made without making any registration or going through the process of User id and Password. The option for ‘QUICK ONLINE PAYMENT’ has been provided on the website of the Chandigarh Housing Board www.chbonline.in. The allottee/applicant need to mention the Category, Sector and Unit number only while rest of the detail like name of the allottee, registration number and name of the scheme will get filled up automatically.
2. Now the offline payments through challans at the counter of the HDFC bank has been further improved through Application Programming Interface (API) based challan generation. Allottee may generate a challan by visiting website of the CHB and then make the payment in any of the branch of HDFC within the Chandigarh City. For generation of such challan, the basic data of the allottee will be automatically fetched from the database. Each of the challan will get a unique code and on payment at the HDFC Bank counter, the amount will get reflected in the record maintained at the Chandigarh Housing Board. To facilitate those allottees who do not have internet facility or facing any difficulty in generation of challan, a counter has been provided at the Reception of Chandigarh Housing Board to facilitate generation of challans. It may be noted that now the manually filled challans are NOT accepted by the HDFC Bank while accepting payment for CHB.
3. Chandigarh Housing Board is making continuous efforts to simplify its processes. Efforts are being made to provide facility of payment of CHB dues at any of the Sampark Centre but it will take some more time to start.
4. Here it may be noted that a huge number of allottees of Small Flats and Affordable Rental Scheme have defaulted in payment of dues. Penalty interest @ 12% per annum is being levied in case of delayed payment. For the time being proceedings against non-payment were kept pending and in case of any further delay, the proceedings for cancellation will be initiated. All the allottees of Small Flats and Affordable Rental Housing Scheme (ARHC) are advised to clear their dues within 15 days to avoid cancellation proceedings.
5. All the Allottees/Applicants are requested to make online payments because it is very simple and most reliable method of making payments. To further encourage the online payments, a computerized draw is being held every month to give a reward of Rs. 1000/- each to 10 online payment transactions irrespective of the amount paid.
