Sara Sangha, B.S. in Pharmacy from Mangalore University, India and Post-doctoral Research Fellow in Vascular Cell Biology ,Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, Ohio. She is currently Assoc. Vice President and U.S. Area Head- Facial Aesthetics and Body contouring, Global Aesthetics Medical Affairs Responsible for developing and executing U.S. Medical Affairs strategic plans for facial aesthetics and body contouring.The talk spanned from tiny feet from Imperial China, to wasp waist of 19th century Europe to the current social media and Instagram face of millennials who desire for an unrealistic sculpture, made out of clay. There is a desire for social acceptance among all so why does wish to stand out, was discussed. It was also explained that it is psychologically and emotionally not healthy to compare yourself to others. The Generation Z or Generation BOTOX thinks that Self Care is not selfish as it enhances self-image. Though these aesthetic and beauty treatments cost a huge amount but studies carried out in USA, Canada among other countries have shown results that Customer satisfaction is achieved in the form of increase in social confidence and psychological well-being, with a few exceptions also present. The results of research of use of aesthetic non-surgical treatments has documented results that faces looked 4.6 years younger than their current age. Thus, it is all about moving the scale from Vanity to Wellness – to look better and feel better.It was attended by more than 75 participants including faculty, research scholars and final year students of B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Fashion and Lifestyle Technology
