Chandigarh sunita shastri:A special program was organized by the Pracheen Kala Kendra at the ML Koser Indoor Auditorium here today in which the Gurmat Sangeet syllabus was unveiled and first Gurmat Sangeet baithak was organized. The programme was also live on social media platforms of Kendra like youtube, facebook and twitter from the stage . The programme featured eminent Hazoori Ragi from Shri Darbar Sahib Amritsar Bhai Gurmeet Singh Ji Shant of Sikh Panth, and the famous Rababi Kirtankar Bhai Davinder Singh Ji Bodal,. They presented melodic Kirtan according to the ancient maryada of Gurmat Sangeet. Bhai Sahib Bhai Hardeep Singh Ji , Member SGPC honored both the great kirtanakars before the unveiling ceremony of Gurmat Sangeet Syllabus of the Pracheen Kala Kendra ..Only very limited and special audience was present in this program as limited audience was invited under the rules of COVID 19 Rules like entry with mask , proper social distancing and sanitization were followed especially during the programme . Many great personalities from the field of Gurmat Sangeet graced the occasion like Sardar Manjit Singh, Deputy Mayor, Mohli, Prof. Khushhal Singh, General Secretary , Kendriya Sabha , Chandigarh, Honble Mr. Justice M.M.S Bedi (Retired ) , Sh. Sukhdev Singh , Advocate , USA and Sardar H. S Hundal, Senior Advocate were some of the names to mention.
The program was conducted by Mr. Malkit Singh Jandiala , Head of the Department of Gurmat Sangeet , Pracheen Kala Kendra. Mr. Malkit Singh has made invaluable contribution in the field of Gurmat Sangeet. Gurmati music baithak will be held on the first Saturday of every month. Syllabus of Gurmat Sangeet will not only benefit the students settled in the country but also abroad, because important information related to Gurmat Sangeet has been shared in this syllabus.After the release of Syllabus, the first Gurmati Sangeet Baithak was presented by Bhai Gurmeet Singh ji Shant. He begin with Rag Kanhra , Mohalla Chautha based shabad with bols “Satguru Chato Pag Chat”, Later in the raga Jajwanti he recite the shabad “beet Jahe Beet Jahe janam Akarth”. In the next part of the programme Bhai Davinder Singh Ji Bodal presented traditional shabads in Raga Tukhari.
The event was compared by Dr. Sameera Koser, Deputy Registrar of the Kendra. Secretary Sh. Sajal Koser and Registrar Dr. Shobha Koser were also present in the program.
At the end of the program, Secretary Sh. Sajal Koser thanked everyone for the success of the event.
