Chandigarh, July 30 – Haryana Police has seized 1500 bottles of illicit Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) in Gurugram district when the consignment was being smuggled in a truck from Ghaziabad to Gurugram.
Giving this information here today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that Police have impounded the truck and seized the consignment which were packed in 128 cartons.
The arrested accused has been identified as Happy and Mohit, both residents of Ghunaka, Tyagi Market, Ghaziabad. The seizure was made by a team of Police post Nathupur Thana, DLF Ph-III.
Initial investigation revealed that accused had brought seized liquor from Ghaziabad for supply in Gurugram.
A case under relevant sections of Excise Act was registered against the accused and further investigation into this case has been taken up.
