Panchal’s ton helped UT boys to pile up 314/6

Chandigarh, A scintillating ton by Markandey Panchal helped Chandigarh A to pile a mammoth of 314/6 against Delhi at the opening match of Balramji Das Tandon Under 16 Boys Multi Days Cricket Tournament started at DAV College, Sector 10 on Thursday. He was well supported by Rudra Pratap Singh (84) In reply, by the end of the day’s play, Delhi scored 20/1.
In another match played at Baba Balak Nath Academy, Chandigarh B team was all out for 225 runs in 69 overs against Jammu and Kashmir wherein Rupesh Yadav (86) was the top scorer. In reply, J&K scored 68/2 at the end of the day’s play.
The Chhattisgarh team was all out for 320 runs against Himachal Pradesh in another match played at Launching Pad Cricket Academy, Mohali,. Nitant Singh scored 132 runs. Himachal scored 4/0 before the stumps were drawn
Earlier, Haryana’s Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar inaugurated the tournament in the presence of UTCA President Sanjay Tandon along with his funcitionaries and DAV College management during an opening ceremony held at DAV College. Ten teams from nine state boards are participating in the tournament. The final will be played on November 1.
