INDIANAPOLIS: en Con 2018 held at the Convention Center, Downtown Indianapolis from August 2 to 5 witnessed an all-new attendance record with significant increases in Saturday and Sunday attendance, as well as a huge surge in families attending. More than 60,000 fans thronged the Convention Center. Long lines were witnessed at the entrance gates. Participants at Gen Con dressed up as characters from television, films and games.
Parade by all characters outside the Convention Center was fabulos. The spectators cheers all characters, specially their favoties. The characters prepare themseleves throughout the year to partcipate in the Gen Con in Indianapolis.
“By any metric, Gen Con 2018 was an enormous success,” said an elated David Hoppe, Gen Con President. “The combination of a record number of veteran gamers arriving from around the world with an amazing surge in first-year attendees illustrates the bright future of gaming. We were also delighted to welcome many game industry partners back to the convention, including Blizzard, Pokémon, and Magic: The Gathering, which celebrated its 25th birthday at Gen Con. We’re proud that while substantially more than 60,000 unique attendees were on-site over four days, the feedback from customers, sponsors, and exhibitors was that we provided a smoothly-run show and top-notch customer experience.”
“We’re also excited to announce that with your efforts, we’ve raised more than $50,000 for The Jack Vasel Memorial Fund and Second Helpings, Inc., our official 2018 charities. Since moving to Indy in 2003, Gen Con has now raised more than $300,000 for its charity partners.
